On top of this, if you plan your experience at the beginning of your stay, your guide can give you additional recommendations on places to visit and foodie spots to check out that eliminates the hassle of Googling “restaurants open near me” or spending time reading endless yelp reviews — yup, been there and it’s still my least favorite part of traveling. 🥲

Numerous times, I’ve offered to grab a drink, buy lunch, or hang out with the tour guide or other guests on my tour. And each time, I’ve walked away with at least one new friend and priceless relationship — cliché, but I’m being honest!
