3 Best Andorra Tours From Barcelona in 2024
With Andorra being just a couple hours’ drive away from Barcelona, the small principality is the perfect place to escape city life for a day. And, the easiest way to discover the area is with a local guide who can help you maximize your time in this underrated region! To help you determine which tour is best for you, I’ve compiled a list and broken down the 3 best Andorra tours from Barcelona.
Are There Tours of Andorra?
As you can likely tell from the post’s title, there are a few tours of Andorra available! However, it’s worth noting that most of the tours of Andorra available, including the ones I’ll be recommending, start and end in Barcelona. This is because there are almost no tours that begin and end in Andorra.
My guess is because there’s not a high enough demand, despite the tiny principality seeing over 8 million tourists per year. That or the locals simply haven’t filled the market gap yet, which is surprising considering 80% of Andorra’s GDP is from its tourism sector…
Either way, it’s kind of a shame. When I was staying in Andorra, I wanted to do an experiential tour, such as a cooking class that makes local food or a walking tour that lets you try Spanish specialties, but I couldn’t find anything. Alas, we work with what we have! So, without further ado — here are the top 3 Andorra tours from Barcelona!
🏔 NOTE: In case you’re staying in Andorra, I’ve mentioned a couple of tours from the few available that start and end in Andorra later on in the post. You can click here to jump to that section.

What to Bring for Andorra Tours
If you’re planning on doing one of the longer Andorra tours from Barcelona, there are a few things you’ll want to bring with you to ensure you have a good time!
- 🧥 Jacket — Even in the summer, the temperatures don’t get particularly warm in Andorra. And it gets pretty cold fast once the sun dips behind the mountains. Make sure to check the weather and bring at least a light jacket with you!
- 🥾 Comfortable Shoes — You’ll be walking on uneven ground and cobblestone streets, so make sure you wear comfortable shoes! I recommend avoiding sandals.
- 🔌 Portable Charger — It’s going to be a long day…so you’ll want to bring a portable charger with you to ensure your phone doesn’t die along the way. I’ve had that happen to me and almost being stranded is NOT fun.
✅ 🔋Here is the portable charger I always travel with and recommend. I love this particular one because it has both a USB-A and USB-C port and is indestructible 🤠.
- 📸 Camera — Whether you like to use your phone or a nicer camera setup, make sure you’re ready to memorialize all the breathtaking scenery. The mountain views are truly magnificent!
- 💧 Reusable Water Bottle — Stay hydrated by bringing a reusable water bottle or two. At high elevations, it’s much easier to become dehydrated.
- 🍎 Snacks — You’ll be spending a good portion of the time just driving from place to place, so I recommend bringing some snacks to tide you over to avoid becoming hangry (hungry + angry) during your journey!

Visit Andorra: FAQ
For me, Andorra is an enchanting destination well worth learning about and visiting. It’s full of gorgeous mountain views and has this understated beauty. Yes, you can tell the country caters to tourists in some areas but also it’s pretty easy to escape it all, whether by taking a hike, skiing at its many resorts, or simply wandering about 10 minutes outside the city center. And, if you want more information about Andorra before booking a tour, check out my post on whether you should visit Andorra. I include arguments for both sides because it’s never always yes or no.
Although the price depends on which tour you select, Andorra tours from Barcelona range from $150 – $245 USD. I’ve included a table in the next section that summarizes the important details of each tour.
The tours are about 12 – 12.5 hours long. So, it’s definitely an all-day experience that will leave you wiped out, but you’ll get to cover so much ground in a short period of time!
The only tour option in Andorra that is 1 hour is the Escape room activity! That said, as Andorra gains popularity, they may add additional experiences. You can see all the tours available here.
This depends on what you like and want to accomplish during your time. But, if money isn’t a determining factor, the France, Andorra & Spain in One Day Trip tour is what I think is the best since it’s the least stressful and most hassle-free experience. Plus, I’m a sucker for passport stamps! 🤠
